This pattern was created using a technique called Suminagashi or the Japanese version of Turkish paper marbling.  The pattern is constructed on the surface of water by
floating pigments and manipulating them with air and utensils, then a paper print is taken from the water’s surface.  Finally these paper prints are used to create the final pattern you see here.  Every design is as unique as a
fingerprint.
